Man Accused Of Marrying 4 Women, Including Ky. Woman

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (LEX 18/NBC 4) — A man is in jail in Ohio for allegedly having as many as four wives. According to a marriage license, one of those weddings was in southern Kentucky.

Ashley Middleton married Michael Middleton in Williamsburg, but Alicia Grant is also married to Michael Middleton, and police say there are two other wives out there, one in Georgia and one in Alabama.

“It disgusts me. It hurts me,” said Ashley.

“He marries you, abuses you, drains your assets and leaves,” said Alicia Grant.

She sat down with NBC 4 in Columbus, Ohio, alongside her mother. She could barely hold back tears talking about her husband.

“I don’t know how he could say he loved me and just lie to my face for three years,” she told NBC 4.

Michael Middleton was caught on video getting arrested last week in Columbus outside of Ashley’s parents’ house. The Franklin County, Ohio, Sheriff’s Office said he was wanted out of New Hampshire for bigamy, and out of Maine for charges including domestic violence.

“I think he preys on certain women, women that’s been hurt or women that just need that reassurance, and then he plays whatever part they need, and then turns them against their family,” said Tiffany Collins, who is related to Ashley.

Ashley and her mother told the NBC 4 reporter that she had a child with Michael two years ago, but she says Michael forged her signature to put the baby up for adoption.
