Search parties are gathering to start searching an area on Fall Lick Rd. again this morning. It’s cold and rainy, but that’s not stopping volunteers from trying to find answers. @LEX18News pic.twitter.com/vFVmGckSwN

Officials told LEX 18 that the search cenetered on a pond. That pond is not far from the home that was previously searched by investigators in the 3100 block of Fall Lick Road. Police said that home belonged to a family member of one of the men seen with Spurlock the night she went missing.
Spurlock is a 22-year-old mother of four from Richmond who disappeared on Jan. 4th after a night out in Lexington. She was last seen leaving a bar with two men.
Spurlock’s mother, Ellen Spurlock, has said that Savannah FaceTime’d her after leaving the bar to let her know she’d be home in the morning. She says Savannah was in a car with several men who she believes Savannah just met that night.
Police say they have questioned those men, who all insisted they had nothing to do with Spurlock’s disappearance. Police have not named any suspects.
The Cajun Coast Search and Rescue team is helping law enforcement with their search this weekend. Police declined to say what lead them to search that area.
Several people who live nearby contacted LEX 18 saying that the road was blocked off by crime scene tape on Saturday night and that there was a huge police presence and a number of K-9 units involved.
