LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The coroner has confirmed that a Laurel County woman, who was found dead outside of her home earlier this month, died from hypothermia.
A neighbor noticed 72-year-old Glynda Smith on the ground by her vehicle the morning of Jan. 20.
Deputies originally weren’t sure if the death was the result of a fall or if it could be weather-related.
They noted at the scene that Smith’s driveway was slick and had patches of ice.
