FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A Jessamine County babysitter accused of abusing an infant was sentenced Friday in Franklin County.

Police say Erin Thompson was babysitting 4-month-old Kylie Jo Sizemore and several other children in April of 2016 when she called 911 for a medical emergency.

First responders found the child with serious physical injuries.

She was taken to UK Hospital and later put in the ICU.

According to the Jessamine Journal, Thompson previously pleaded guilty to first-degree assault and second-degree criminal abuse charges.

Thompson has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
