Teacher Pleads Not Guilty After Allegedly Hosting Party With Minors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE 3 )- A Jefferson County Public School teacher who was facing multiple charges of unlawful transaction with a minor pleaded not guilty Thursday afternoon in a Bullitt County courtroom.

According to WAVE 3 News, Lindsey Evonne Lewis, 36, of Mount Washington, was arrested on Jan 1. following a party at her home.

Mount Washington police were called to the home just before 1 a.m. by a neighbor who reported their property had been damaged by teenagers driving to and from a party next door.

An arrest report for Lewis says 14 of the people in the house were juveniles.

Police said Lewis, who appeared to be impaired, knowingly hosted a party where juveniles were using marijuana and alcohol.

While in court, Lewis’ lawyer pleaded not guilty on her behalf and asked for the names of the 14 juveniles to whom Lewis allegedly provided illegal substances.
