PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (EKB)– A woman has been arrested after she allegedly assaulted and stabbed her mother.

It happened around 6 a.m. Monday on Island Creek Road in Pikeville.

Police say 30-year-old Ashley Estoll hit her mother in the head with a frying pan and stabbed her several times with a kitchen knife.

They reportedly found Estoll’s mother sitting in a chair, covered in blood, with several stab wounds on her head, neck, and torso.

We’re told the attack followed a confrontation over the daughter’s alleged drug use.

Estoll is charged with assault and resisting arrest.
