MENIFEE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A video of a puppy being tossed from one truck into another in front of a Menifee County store has made a lot of people angry in the small community.

Surveillance video shows a brown truck pulling up outside of Cornett’s Grocery store in Denniston. An occupant of the vehicle gets out and dumps the puppy into the back of a truck that was parked outside the store.
When the driver of the white truck came outside a few minutes later, he discovered the puppy in his vehicle.
Diana McGuire, director of the county animal shelter, watched the video and she couldn’t grasp the person’s decision to abandon an innocent animal.
“When you have a small seven, eight, nine-week-old pup, they are very vulnerable,” says McGuire.
The sheriff’s office has launched an investigation to find those responsible.
A customer at the store has given the puppy a new home.
