WOLFE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The Wolfe County Board of Education is seeking answers after someone vandalized the school soccer field at the athletic complex.
“Recently the Wolfe County Schools Soccer field was vandalized. Someone drove a vehicle onto the field and in one spot appeared to drive in circles. With the wet weather causing the field to be very soft the damage was readily noticeable. ”
The Wolfe Co. Schools athletic complex includes the school’s soccer field, softball field, and baseball field and is used by hundreds of students yearly.
The soccer field is home to middle and high school soccer, youth soccer, T-ball and community football, and many other activities for the schools and the community.
The school tells LEX 18 that they are struggling financially and are also concerned about not having money for football.
