MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A woman is facing charges after she allegedly led authorities on a high speed chase from Montgomery County to Lexington.

The chase started at about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon in Mount Sterling and ended about 45 minutes later.

Jail officials tell LEX 18 that police approached 30-year-old Tiffany Watkins in the Walmart parking lot for a welfare check when she took off down Interstate 64.

They say she changed lanes erratically at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.

We’re told no one was hurt.

Watkins now faces multiple charges, including wanton endangerment, resisting arrest, and DUI.
