Man Indicted After Deadly November Crash

JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– The Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office says that after their investigation, a grand jury has indicted a Berea man on multiple charges stemming from a deadly crash on Tates Creek Road in November.

Brian Lawson, 26, of Berea, was charged with murder, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, and receiving stolen property- firearm.

The crash happened on November 29. The sheriff’s office said Lawson was operating a 2003 Chevy passenger car when he lost control and left the road, hitting a tree.

A passenger, 24-year-old Cassie L. Foley, died as a result of the crash.

Lawson is currently in the Madison County Detention Center on local charges.

His bail on the Jessamine County charges has been set at $50,000 cash.
