CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – The woman accused of putting her newborn baby in a trash bag and throwing the child two stories has been indicted in the case.
21-year-old Amber Bowling has been indicted on one count of murder. Bowling is accused of placing her infant in a trash bag and throwing the bag over a balcony.
An autopsy showed that the baby died from injuries related to blunt-force trauma, according to the coroner. Bowling’s arrest citation said the baby had a cranial fracture, fractured ribs, and the infant’s brain had bled.

Bowling was given a public defender at her arraignment. She will be re-arraigned at a later date following the indictment.
