McCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A McCracken County bookkeeper has been sentenced to 27 months in prison after embezzling more than $126,000 from her employer.

Authorities say 53-year-old Dana Thomas worked for Audiology and Hearing Cener in Paducah.

After Thomas resigned, officials discovered she had charged personal expenses to company credit cards.

The charges include payments for a Florida condominium and a New Year’s Eve trip to New York City’s Times Square.

In addition to jail time, Thomas also must pay nearly $148,000 in restitution.
