HIMYAR, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Knox County man was arrested early Monday morning after police say he fired shots at them through the walls of his house.

Officials with the state police and a Knox County deputy responded to reports of an assault at a home in Himyar.

According to a news release, officials say a woman inside the home peered out the window. A few moments later, they say, Jason Marsee, 47, fired eight rounds from a rifle through the side of the home in the directions of the state troopers.

Marsee came out of the house and threw the rifle on the ground. He was taken into custody. Police say they found several firearms, a police scanner and drugs in the home.

Two bullets struck a neighbor’s house.

Marsee is charged with attempted murder of a police officer, wanton endangerment, menacing, resisting arrest and drug charges.
