LEWIS COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A deputy jailer in Lewis County has been place on unpaid leave after being charged with sexual abuse.
Authorities say 48-year-old Ben Joe Carver of Garrison faces a single charge of first-degree sexual abuse.
The alleged victim in the case is a 16-year-old girl.
Carver currently is being held without bail in the Greenup County Detention Center.
