Crews Rescue Calf From Sinkhole In Lincoln Co.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Emergency crews from Lexington along with others from Jessamine and Lincoln counties rescued a calf Saturday after it fell into a sinkhole.

Officials said the calf was found about 12:30 p.m. stuck 15 to 20 feet down in a sinkhole along Moore’s Lane in Lincoln County.

Large Animal Rescue units out of Lexington and Jessamine County aided in the rescue.

Crews used backhoes to secure the calf’s safe release.

Officials said the animal appear to be uninjured and was back to grazing.
