LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– So-called “porch pirates” are stealing packages near Lexington’s Masterson Station neighborhood.
Police say they got a call about it Thursday afternoon.
People who live on Applecross Drive near the area say a man has been seen stealing packages right off their front porches.
Neighbors say they feel violated and they’re upset someone would take something that doesn’t belong to them.
“I told the neighbors, to keep their blinds open and the lights on,” said Ruth Rawlings. “And I’ll be watching out because I’m expecting a couple packages myself.”
Police say they don’t have much to go on. Only that someone spotted the thief and said he was wearing a green jacket.
