LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– The owner of a local McDonald’s is responding after a video of an employee interaction with a customer went viral.

LEX 18 was told that the woman in the video had been there for around two and half hours. In that time she reportedly slept in the lobby and soiled her clothing.

They added that although she did buy food, customers were complaining that she was loud, obnoxious, and bothering them.

After the customer complaints, the employee tried to give her time to leave which is why he said she needed to leave in the next 30 minutes.

The woman ended up leaving on her own accord.

In the past, she has been banned from the Russell Cave Road McDonald’s for verbally and physically assaulting members of the staff, which is owned by the same franchise owners as the Nicholasville location.

The owner released a statement on the incident:

“All customers are welcome in our restaurants, and our organization is committed to the well-being and fair treatment of all people. In this instance, the guest had been inciting customer complaints for multiple hours; therefore, the customer was asked to leave. We have reviewed the situation, and have concluded our employees made the appropriate decision. Our organization prioritizes the safety of all our customers and we are committed to the community we serve.”
