LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A woman and her boyfriend are accused of making children, ages ranging from 8 to 9, smoke marijuana.

Janet Cates and her boyfriend, Josh Thomas, are both charged with unlawful transaction with a minor second-degree after police say they made their neighbor’s children smoke pot.

According to Cates arrest citation, one of the kids said Cates and Thomas put “bad stuff” up to his mouth and told him to close his mouth.

The children told police the “green stuff” smelled really strong.

Thomas is accused of making the kids drink mouthwash and sprayed cologne to try and cover up the odor.
