LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police and emergency crews responded Wednesday morning after a vehicle struck a pedestrian on the city’s southwest side.
Authorities said the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. at Man O’ War Boulevard and Clays Mill Road.
Police said the injured pedestrian was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center with minor injuries.
Police say they think the driver was headed straight on the outer loop of Man O War when the pedestrian was hit at the intersection. They are still working to confirm details. Up until a few minutes ago, the pedestrian was still in the ambulance on scene. @LEX18News pic.twitter.com/7n83cHA52L

Officials said they believe the driver was headed straight on the outer loop of Man O’ War when the vehicle struck the pedestrian.
There was no word on any possible traffic citations.
