LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Big stores like Walmart are getting ready for Black Friday.

Employees are making sure that everything is ready and set for their customers. Things like electronics and gadgets are always big Black Friday sellers for Walmart, but this year, they’re hoping shoppers fill their carts with toys.

“We’ve bought a little bit of everything. We’ve got Avengers Legos. We have Peppa Pig. We have Barbie dolls. We have babies with bathtubs and we have Scotch tape to wrap it all in,” said shopper Fonda Childers.

Since Toys R Us is closed, a lot of shoppers are looking for a one-stop shop. Walmart leaders want their stores to be the next big toy shop.

“We want to be America’s best toy shop,” said store manager Jared Elkins.

To keep things moving along, Walmart is now giving customers the chance to skip the long checkout lines.

“They can actually go to the associate, but a tv, use their Walmart pay or debit card with that associate, instead of having to wait in lines up front,” said Elkins.

Black Friday is not for everyone. For the people who prefer to stay at home, there’s the online option to get some shopping done as well.
