Man Facing Murder Charges In Connection To Laurel County Crash

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Authorities in Laurel County have arrested a man accused of causing a deadly wreck while driving intoxicated.

Deputies arrested Chris Francis just after 9:30 p.m. Monday night.

They say that on Sept. 5, Francis was driving a vehicle on the wrong side of the road while high on meth, when he hit another vehicle.

It happened on Hensley Road in East Bernstadt.

Officials say a passenger in Francis’ vehicle was killed and three people in the other vehicle were hurt.

The passenger has since been identified as Holly Francis, the suspect’s mother.

He now faces several charges, including murder.
