MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– A Montgomery County man tells LEX 18 that he woke up Sunday morning to see his son’s car on fire.

Johnnie Nester’s son, Jarrod, is a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy.

“It puts you weak in the knees that somebody would torch your vehicle for no reason at all,” said Nester.

The surveillance video outside of Nester’s home shows two people walk up to his son’s personal vehicle, a Ford Escape, and set it on fire.

You can also see the two people run back into another vehicle and drive away from the scene.

The Mt. Sterling Police Department is investigating the incident and says that they found evidence around the vehicle that could help lead them to whoever did this.

If you have any information, call the Mt. Sterling Police Department.
