Laurel County Man Sentenced To 248 Months In Prison For Firearms Offenses

LONDON, Ky. (LEX 18) – A Laurel County man was sentenced to 248 months in prison for committing firearms offenses.

A federal jury convicted Bobby Green, 41, of being a felon in possession of a firearm and knowingly possessing a firearm.

Three of Green’s co-defendants were also convicted.  Michael K. Lantos was sentenced to 86 months in prison for possession of firearms by a prohibited person. Co-defendant Kimberly A. Green pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and is scheduled for sentencing on December 18, 2018, and co-defendant Kimberly S. Wells pleaded guilty to distribution of methamphetamine and is scheduled for sentencing on December 4, 2018.

“Drug dealers with guns are violent criminals who pose an increased threat to the safety of our communities,” stated Special Agent in Charge Stuart Lowrey of the Louisville Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). “ATF provides investigative resources that makes possible the arrest and successful prosecution of these offenders”

There is no parole in the federal system.
