FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18)– A ruling by the Kentucky Supreme Court on the constitutionality of Senate Bill 151, or the Pension Bill, could come down Thursday, according to a post by the Fayette County Education Association.

Attorney General Andy Beshear filed suit to stop Senate Bill 151, which was initially a sewer bill that evolved into the Pension Bill, saying it was unconstitutional.

Beshear cited the bill did not get the actuarial analysis that most bills require.

In August, Governor Matt Bevin filed an appeal to the take the battle to the state supreme court, bypassing the court of appeals.

The governor claims the law does not violate the state constitution.
