LESLIE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police said Monday afternoon that police have arrested a man wanted in connection with a shooting death last week in Leslie County.
Authorities said Dustin Stidham was found in a wooded area near Lower McIntosh Road after police received a tip that he was in the area.
Stidham was wanted in the death of Paige Murphy, who was found shot to death last Thursday morning in Essie.
Police had described the slaying as likely the result of a domestic fight.
Authorities said Stidham drove from the scene but that his car later was found abandoned.
Stidham was being held in the Leslie County Detention Center.
