LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Two people were arrested Monday after officials were involved in a standoff with the pair.
The incident started as a domestic dispute between 51-year-old Brett Larsen, and 43-year-old Carrie Beth Morgan.
When officers arrived on the scene, the couple refused to come out.
A juvenile in the home was able to make it to a neighbor’s. The child later told deputies that before they arrived, she had walked out the side door and Larsen allegedly came to the door and said if she didn’t come back in he was going to lock her outside. The child reportedly had on short sleeves and no jacket in bitter cold temperatures.
Both were charged with criminal abuse first-degree of a child 12 or younger.
