LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Police have cleared the scene of a standoff that lasted more than four hours.

It started around 10:30 p.m. Thursday night in the 300 block of Jefferson Street.

Police responded to a call about a woman being held against her will.

They eventually arrested Robert Patton just before 3 a.m. Friday morning. He’s charged with unlawful imprisonment and wanton endangerment.

Police say the relationship between Patton and the woman is unclear.

We’re told Patton was not armed.

During the standoff, Jefferson and Fourth streets were blocked off and people were asked to stay inside.

Those streets are now back open.
