FAYETTE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Fayette County coroner’s office is seeking the public’s help in finding relatives of a man who died Friday.

Officials say 39-year-old Erik John Schomer of Lexington died in a Walmart parking lot of a possible drug overdose.

According to coroner’s officials, authorities believe Schomer had been living in a vehicle at the time of his death.

The office said they believe Schomer’s father, Edward John Schomer, lives in Georgetown, and that he may have a daughter named Chelsey, though it was not clear how she might spell her name or whether her last name has changed.

Efforts to reach any relative have been unsuccessful so far.

Officials ask anyone with information to call the coroner’s office at 859-455-5700.
