LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)–The results of a public vote to name the Lexington Police barn cats are in!
With 43 percent of the vote, the winning names for the two tabby cats are Smokey and Bandit.
More than 2,500 votes were cast in theweek-long election, with polls open on the police Twitter account and web page.
Other names being considered were Starsky & Hutch, Woody & Buzz, and Bit & Bridle, along with several write-in candidates.
