HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE 3)– The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-1 tornado is responsible for the damage in Hardin County.
Officials say that a tree fell on a home on Rineyville Road between Elizabethtown and Rineyville around 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Bryce Shumate, a Hardin County Emergency Management Official, shared another photo of damage from property close to that home. Several outbuildings with aluminum siding were destroyed.
Preliminary surveying confirms that the damage was the result of a tornado and not straight line winds.
