KNOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– KSP tells LEX 18 that a child on a motorcycle was hit by a car in Pippa Passes.
Originally, LEX 18 was told that the child was hit by a car, now we are told that the child was on a motorcycle when the collision happened.
KSP says it happened as a car was pulling off the roadway to a residence off Highway 899. They say that the child was headed in the opposite direction and may have been clipped by the car.
The child was injured but was able to ride home, according to KSP.
He has a serious, but non-life-threatening leg injury.
He was flown to a hospital in Virginia for treatment.
