POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– The Kentucky Reptile Zoo has a new resident after an albino boa constrictor was found last week.
The manager of the zoo says she almost didn’t believe it when a man called and said he was looking at a boa constrictor.
He then asked, ‘do you want it?’
Kristen Wiley, the zoo director, says the man spotted it in on Cane Creek Road and that’s when he loaded it up into his car and brought it to the reptile zoo, where it remains in quarantine.
The snake was exposed to some cold conditions and they believe it might have a full-blown infection.
Wiley says the man did the right thing by calling them and not leaving it outside any longer.
