LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– A Lexington man has been arrested in connection to a rape that happened five years ago.

Police say 43-year-old Bobby McGhee was taken into custody Wednesday at the Luther Lucket Correctional Center in La Grange.

According to an arrest citation, on the night of Nov. 8, 2013, the victim was trying to get into her residence when McGhee reportedly slipped in as she opened the door.

The citation goes on to say McGhee pushed the woman down and put his hands around her neck. He then forced the victim to perform oral sex on him and vaginally raped her.

After McGhee left, the victim went to the UK Hospital ER where she had a rape test performed and DNA was collected.

The DNA was later connected to McGhee.

He is facing numerous charges, including first-degree rape and sodomy.
