HEBRON, Ky. (WLWT)— WOW air announced Tuesday it will no longer be flying out of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
CVG is one of three airports from which the airline will no longer fly out of.
“WOW air is disappointed to confirm the cancellation of service to St. Louis Lambert International Airport, and services to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport will not resume in summer 2019. Final flights to Cleveland and Cincinnati will be in end of October. Unfortunately, the routes did not achieve the profit targets set,” said a statement issued by the airline.
WOW air-launched at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in May.
The airline offered flights to over 20 European and Middle Eastern destinations.
