GEORGETOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) – The Raising Cane’s location in Georgetown is hosting a fundraiser Tuesday for the Scott County Deputy paralyzed in a shooting.

Sheriff’s Deputy Jaime Morales of Scott County was shot in the line of duty last month. The sheriff’s office announced after multiple surgeries and nearly a week in the hospital, Morales is 90 percent paralyzed.

On Oct. 16, the Georgetown location of the restaurant will hold an all-day fundraiser with 20 percent of all sales going to help Morales.

Additional donations will also be accepted.
