Danville Man Convicted On Heroin, Fentanyl Charges

BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Boyle County man faces up to 30 years in prison after being found guilty of conspiracy and drug trafficking.

A jury found 46-year-old Carl Wayne Bartleson Jr. of Danville guilty of one county of conspiracy to distribute heroin and fentanyl and four counts of distributing heroin and fentanyl.

In February 2017, multiple people overdosed on heroin and fentanyl in the area. Three people died, according to police.

The spike led the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office to work with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to crack down on the sources.

That investigation lead them to Bartleson, officials said.

Bartleson is scheduled to be sentenced in February.
