BATH COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18)– Former Vice President Joe Biden had high praises for Amy McGrath as he stumped for the candidate in Bath County on Friday.
It’s a tight race between Republican Representative Andy Barr and McGrath, a retired Marine fighter pilot.

McGrath’s campaign announced last week that Biden will appear with her at a community fish fry at Bath County High School in Owingsville. Lines were already forming by 9 a.m. and by the time Biden and McGrath took the stage, people were squeezed in on bleachers in the school gym.
McGrath has called Biden an “American patriot” and invited democrats, republicans, and independents to attend the event.
Biden praised McGrath for her race in a predominantly conservative state, “I’m here for Lt. Col. Amy McGrath. I admire the heck out of what you have done.”
