LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– The Paul Mitchell School in Lexington is offering a free hug and a free haircut on Tuesday.

All Paul Mitchell Schools across the country are participating. There’s no catch and no fine print. Their goal is just to make someone’s day.

“Everybody loves a free hug, but I think when you come in to get your hair done, it always makes them feel really special,” said Ben Powell, an education leader at Paul Mitchell.

The school said it is part of their culture and they’re always looking for ways to reach out to the community and believe it or not, it also gives their students good practice as well, in developing that special connection with their clients.

“I think that’s one of the things of being a hairdresser, is the connection you have with people whether it’s a hug, it’s a touch of their scalp, it’s sensory it’s what makes people feel really special,” said Powell.

Haircuts start at 9 a.m. To make an appointment, call (859) 223-3644.
