LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18)– Police have arrested the suspect wanted for allegedly shooting two people at a Lexington gas station.

It happened on Paris Pike early in the morning of Sept. 15.

Police responded to Nikel’s Food Mart and found a man and woman with gunshot wounds.

They searched for 21-year-old Maxwell Wilburn for several weeks before arresting him Wednesday afternoon.

An arrest citation says Wilburn was arguing with the victims after he dropped marijuana while getting a ride home.

The man says they got out of the car, and Wilburn eventually shot him and the woman.

Wilburn faces two counts of first-degree assault.
