MERCER COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office says a fugitive wanted on drugs and kidnapping charges is now in custody.

Authorities say they apprehended Jamie Williams “after following leads from the public.”

Officials said Williams was involved Sept. 17 in an incident “in the Cornishville Road and Okland Lane area of Mercer County.”

The Sheriff’s Office said Williams was wanted for kidnapping, second-degree assault, first-degree fleeing/evading police on foot, leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid and criminal mischief.
