FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18)– House Minority Whip Wilson Stone is accused of misusing state resources to get a leg-up on his re-election campaign.

The Republican Party of Kentucky filed a complaint, saying Stone should not have included the phrase “I appreciate your input and request your vote and support” on a public survey about the 2019 session.

Stone responded with a statement, saying he mistakenly included the phrase as he tried to end on a personal note.

He apologized saying it won’t happen again.
