LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – The videos and images of flames shooting out of a beloved Lexington bar broke hearts all around the city.
Belle’s Cocktail House caught fire on August 24 during the morning rush hour. Several people took photos and video of the flames. Thankfully, those videos and photos made the situation look a lot worse than it actually was.
However, in all that devastation, there were bits of good news. Most of the damage was limited to the building’s roof and the damage inside was mostly water and smoke related.
The bar credited the quick actions of Lexington firefighters for saving the structure.
The bar will reopen at 5 p.m. Friday and has its drink special menu ready to go. Yes…that includes the bottomless rosé.
