MOREHEAD, Ky (LEX 18)– Morehead City Hall says that a memorial scholarship fund has been set up in honor of the nine-year-old boy who was swept away by flood waters.

Crews searched for Bryce Combs for seven days. During that time, people drove in from other counties and states to help with the search.

Now, Morehead City Hall says that the Bryce Combs Memorial Scholarship Fund has been created. You can donate to it by contacting the Citizens Bank of Morehead at (606) 780-0000. All proceeds from the fund will be divided into a scholarship fund in Bryce’s name and to Bryce’s family.

The fund and the distribution of the money will be monitored by Pastor Jeff Fannin and members of the Clearfield Elementary PTC, according to a Facebook post by Morehead City Hall.

For more information on how to help Bryce’s family, the Facebook post says to contact Pastor Fannin at his place of business, Good Shepherd Printing at (606) 784-1224 or (606) 784-2858.
