A KSP spokesperson says troopers were called at 3:55 p.m. to Wolverine Road in Jackson for a disturbance.

Reportedly an individual started shooting in the direction of officers and they had to create a barricade.

Neighbors told LEX 18 that they were not allowed to leave their homes throughout the situation due to safety concerns.

The incident is under investigation.
