MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Many people in Montgomery County still are cleaning up after this weekend’s flash flooding.

A church is working to make sure clothing is the least of their worries. Faith Pentecostal Church in Mount Sterling opened up an outreach center called God’s House.

Normally, they offer free clothes to the homeless, but this week they’re extending that to anyone who lost clothes because of flooding.

“A lot of them have lost everything, so anything that we can do to help them get back on their feet and show them that God still cares and there are people out there that still love one another,” said Rev. Scott Blankenship, the pastor at Faith Pentecostal Church.

God’s House is located on North Queen Street in Mount Sterling and Blankenship said they’ll be offering the free clothes all week.
