GEORGETOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) – Georgetown College will play against St. Andrews Friday night. The game was originally planned for Saturday afternoon but was moved so that St. Andrew’s team could travel safely ahead of the hurricane.
St. Andrews is located in North Carolina and the team was facing an impact from Hurricane Florence.
This caused a conflict for Scott County High School who is also scheduled to play at the exact same time. School officials found a solution.
“We’ll go out and hopefully everybody is safe and hopefully St Andrews can get back to their homes safely and all the families in North Carolina will be safe this weekend. Because that’s what it’s all about obviously we want these student-athletes to have a good experience and all the families to be safe,” Brian Evans, Athletic Director of Georgetown College told LEX 18.
Scott County High School played LaSalle Thursday night. LaSalle won 37 to 7 over Scott County.
Georgetown College and Saint Anders play at 7 p.m.
