Police: Elizabethtown Resident Shoots Home Invasion Suspect

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (WAVE) — Kentucky State Police after a home invasion suspect was shot by a homeowner.

WAVE reports here that police responded Friday afternoon to a home along Hall Road.

A woman at the home told troopers that her husband shot a man after he forced his way into their home.

KSP said they received several calls the day before about a suspicious person in the area.

The suspect was airlifted to University Hospital in Louisville with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Charges in the case are pending, and police have not released the man’s name.

Police said the homeowner is unlikely to face charges in the shooting.
