BARREN COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) — A funeral service is scheduled for Friday for a 2-year-old boy who was shot to death Tuesday in Barren County.
The Barren County Sheriff’s Office was called to Buck Creek Road about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday for a report of an accidental shooting.
Deputies say a sibling shot the toddler by accident while handling a loaded rifle.
The children had been sent upstairs to get some items for their parents prior to the incident taking place.
The 2-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
