Visitation Today For Horse Racing Icon

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18)– Hundreds are expected to pay their respects to horse racing icon John Asher on Tuesday.

Asher, who died last week after suffering a heart attack while on vacation with his family, was 62-years-old.

His visitation is from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. inside the Jockey Club Suites at Churchill Downs.

Before visitation begins, Asher’s body will make the historic one and a quarter mile around the track.

Asher’s funeral will be Wednesday afternoon at the Cathedral of the Assumption.
