HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – A 3-year-old boy in Harlan County has died after being shot in the head, according to Kentucky State Police.
The shooting happened at a home in the Totz community. The 911 call came in around 11:22 a.m..
KSP said that it appears the 3-year-old died from a single gunshot wound to the head. It is said he was on the front porch.
The child was transported to a hospital in Harlan County and was pronounced dead by the Harlan County Coroner.
Originally it was reported that the child was 2-years-old.
Troopers are investigating how it happened. They say that adults were home at the time of the incident.
